Thomas Gheysen (23) initially stepped into Remes as an intern and later extended his stay, joining our team for an additional three months as a student employee.
As I was searching for an internship during my Marketing Communication studies at VIVES Kortrijk, I landed at Remes. Right from the start, they gauged my interests and preferences within the scope of my responsibilities. Anjo, keen on making me feel at home, quickly assessed where my passions lie. She allowed me to work at my own pace, drawing from her personal experiences, which proved instrumental in my personal growth. This approach not only eased the pressure but also ensured that my tasks were consistently completed on time. Although the five weeks of my internship passed swiftly, it didn't mark the end of our collaboration. Anjo expressed interest in having me continue as a student at Remes after my internship. Her enthusiasm about my work and the desire to keep me on the team boosted my self-confidence. I'm thankful for that, and now, I have a clearer vision of my professional path.
At Remes, I was involved in diverse projects, ensuring the work remained consistently intriguing. From managing social media accounts, orchestrating photoshoots, and crafting creative designs to refining and creating content for various websites, including Remes' own, which I played a role in launching. In essence, the experience was a rich learning ground, and I appreciate the opportunities granted. A memorable thank-you in the form of a unique experience and a Remes hoodie emphasized the team's appreciation. Though I've graduated and am job-hunting, my connection with Team Remes remains indelible.
